Swept from the Sea

In the closing years of the 19th century, Yanko Goorall, a Russian emigrant, finds himself as the sole survivor of a devastating shipwreck. Struggling to stay alive on the harsh coastal landscape, he eventually stumbles upon a nearby farm, weak and in desperate need of help. The occupants of the farm are wary of Yanko, fearful of his unknown origins and plight; but Amy Foster, a humble servant, is moved by compassion and extends her kindness to him. Over time, as Yanko regains his strength and becomes integrated into the household, he develops a strong bond with Dr. James Kennedy, who treats him like a son. Meanwhile, an unexpected romance blossoms between Yanko and Amy, amidst the backdrop of adversity, human connection, and hope for a brighter future.
