Goodnight, Mister Tom

Set in an English village on the brink of World War I, "Mr. Tom" Oakley struggles with grief over his late wife and son. Withdrawn from society due to his loss, he initially resists becoming a part of the mass evacuation effort for London's children. However, Mr. Tom is eventually coerced into taking in a reserved 10-year-old child, who slowly opens up about the challenges he has faced during his young life. Through their shared experiences and newfound friendship, both Mr. Tom and the young boy find solace and healing amidst the uncertainty of wartime England.
