Set in the year 1000 AD, the story unfolds in the harsh landscape of northern Scandinavia where the tjuder, a warlike tribe known for their brutality, wreak havoc among the peaceful Sámi community. When Aigin witnesses the gruesome murder of his family by these marauders, he narrowly escapes and seeks refuge with a group of fellow Sámi who are also on edge, fearing the tjuder's presence. With their intention to flee to the coast, Aigin remains behind, consumed by vengeance for his loved ones. As fate would have it, the ruthless tjuder catch up to him first and force him into a difficult choice: lead them to the other Sámi or face the consequences. However, Aigin devises a clever plan to thwart his enemies before they reach the unsuspecting camp, turning an impending tragedy into an epic tale of survival and retribution.
