Grey Owl

Set in early 1930s Canada, the story follows Archie Grey Owl, a trapper who embarks on an unexpected journey when a young Iroquois woman named Anahareo seeks to learn about Native American customs and way of life. As they immerse themselves in nature, Archie and Anahareo confront the harsh realities of animal suffering caused by trapping, leading Archie to abandon his previous livelihood and embrace a new path as a naturalist guide, writer, and wildlife conservationist.The Canadian government enlists their expertise when they are tasked with preserving the dwindling beaver population in Prince Albert National Park's Lake Ajawaan. Amidst their efforts, Archie pens an autobiography that gains him recognition and invitations to speak on British soil. Before he leaves for England, Archie and Anahareo decide to marry, but his secret past threatens to unravel the life they have built together. As Archie faces this personal dilemma in a foreign land, their love is put to the test and Anahareo's devotion remains to be seen.
