In this emotional journey, young Native American Thomas lives a quiet life in his reservation community, often immersed in the world of books and stories. A shy individual, he dons oversized glasses that only add to his air of quiet introspection. His past is marked by tragedy as he lost his parents in a devastating fire back in 1976, an incident from which he was miraculously saved by Arnold, an older man who would eventually become something of a father figure for the young orphan.Years later, Thomas still harbours deep gratitude towards Arnold, and when he learns of his old friend's untimely death, he decides to offer financial assistance to Victor, Arnold's estranged son, to travel back home and claim Arnold's remains. Though it has been ten years since they last saw each other, Thomas' unwavering loyalty and desire for closure motivate him to reconnect with his father, embarking on a bittersweet journey of reconciliation and reflection as they confront their shared past and the complexities of familial bonds.
