Queen Millennia

Queen Millennia is a mesmerizing manga series penned by Leiji Matsumoto, which saw its initial publication from January 1980 through May 1983 in the Sankei Shimbun and Nishinippon Sports newspapers. The visual magic of Matsumoto's creation later transformed into a captivating 42-episode anime TV series by Toei Dōga, which graced our screens on Fuji TV network between April 1981 and March 1982. A thrilling anime film was released in theatres on March 13, 1982, just before the conclusion of the television adaptation.This masterful series later found its way to American shores as it was skillfully combined with episodes from Matsumoto's 1978 series, Space Pirate Captain Harlock. Under this new moniker, "Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years," the 65-episode saga took North American audiences by storm during its broadcast from 1985 to 1986. In Germany, fans were treated to the series on Tele 5 in 1992, while French viewers got their first taste of this epic tale on Mangas in 2004.
