In this delightful romantic comedy, timid librarian Roger Fleuriot finds himself caught between his love for Princess Saint Labiche and their societal barriers. Meanwhile, Princess Saint Labiche is equally captivated by Roger but struggles with her own constraints as a high-ranking royal.In an effort to bridge the gap between them, the princess devises a clever plan to assume a new identity - one of a humble shoe shop employee she calls her "twin sister." Pretending to be this fabricated sibling, she hopes to slowly win Roger's heart and understand life from his perspective.As their interactions become more frequent, the two characters develop a genuine connection, filled with laughter and shared experiences. However, the truth is bound to come out eventually, leaving the audience wondering if love can truly conquer all when societal expectations and class differences stand in the way.
