Just Don’t Think I’ll Scream

In January 2016, following the end of a significant relationship in a tranquil Alsatian village, our protagonist finds themselves at a crossroads in life: 45 years old, without employment or transportation, and struggling to navigate their newfound solitude. As an escape from reality, they immerse themselves in cinema, watching up to five films a day. Drawn to the idea of creating something from this period of stagnation, rather than passively consuming it, they embark on an intriguing experiment - editing together segments from these countless films into a unique and deeply personal reflection on loss, longing, and life's unexpected detours. The result is an evocative, layered narrative that combines the universal themes of beloved movies with the intimate journey of one individual searching for meaning amidst their own personal upheaval.
